Also known as Dark Green Arborvitae. Similar to American arborvitae, but with a slightly shorter mature height and more of a pyramidal shape. Somewhat darker green color. Usually reaching a height of 20-30 feet with a spread of 10 to 15 feet. Makes an excellent screen or windbreak when spaced at 4' apart.. Grows well in ordinary soils and does especially well in swampy areas and alkaline soils. Hardy zones 3-7.
